CAEDMON’S CALL ANNOUNCES SPRING TOUR

NEWS SOURCE: BookEnd Media

Caedmons Call (NASHVILLE, TN) FEBRUARY 4, 2008--Award-winning folk-pop group Caedmon’s Call has announced its highly anticipated spring tour in support of their latest release Overdressed through INO Records. The tour will kick off on February 7th in Conway, AR. A complete list of cities and dates can be found at www.caedmonscall.com.

The tour will also feature former member-turned-solo singer/songwriter Derek Webb, in which he is also featured on the group’s new album. Webb will ‘open’ the show with songs from his solo albums and will join Caedmon’s Call for the headlining set.

Already off to a successful start, Caedmon’s Call’s recently saw their lyrically compelling song about redemption, “Ten Thousand Angels” in a rare and lengthy place on the ABC hit drama series Grey’s Anatomy. Featuring vocals by Derek Webb, the song played for five consecutive minutes during an emotionally charged final scene.

Caedmon’s Call has sold over a million units of its 14 records to date but has always been more of a community itself than a band. This group is known for it’s multi-talented members; Cliff and Danielle Young, Derek Webb and Andy Osenga, Todd Bragg, Garett Buell, Jeff Miller and Josh Moore. Overdressed is a 12 song CD collection unlike any other Caedmon's Call record, organically acoustic with emphasis on rhythm while maintaining cleverly-written lyrics. All songs were co-wrote between Andrew Osenga, Randall Goodgame, Derek Webb and Webb's wife, musician Sandra McCracken.
